Hey, music lovers! My name is Paige Greene, I am 19 and from Fort Worth, Texas. I attend Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas where I major in Electronic Media with a minor in popular culture. This means I love writing, photography, videography, editing and anything media.

I could definitely be considered a band nerd with my love of playing marimba. I have been in concert band, marching band and indoor drumline for a total of eight years and counting. If it is not obvious already, I love music. My Spotify playlists range from Cardi B to Avenged Sevenfold to even George Strait and I am very proud of that, but my favorite genre has to be rock.

Growing up with music

I grew up with a mom and dad who love classic rock. I swear thats all that ever played in my house with our collection of cd’s that were filled with legends like Journey, Boston, Rush and more. My dad has also been playing drums my whole life and has recently dabbled in more guitar, but can definitely sit at a piano and throw something down. I attribute my more musical abilities to him and always loved our car rides talking about the most random music or annoying my mom with the constant tapping and drumming on anything. That does not mean my mom is not to thank with some of my music taste because my favorite band, Foo Fighters, I have her to thank.

My plan

I chose music because as you read above, music is a huge part of my life and why I am the person I am today. I plan to talk about the artists and albums I consider to be in my music hall of fame, modeled after the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and giving reviews about each of them. I also plan on diving into and explaining my music all time favorites and maybe find some new jams on the way. I hope to explore why I am drawn to some of my favorite artists while giving some well needed recommendations and reach some music lovers that can benefit from my interesting music taste.
